About the role
- Responsible for the execution and management of the pricing strategies, processes, systems, and actions that ensure we achieve optimal financial growth while remaining competitive within the industry.
- Develop and maintain efficient communication and pricing awareness between all stakeholders within the organization and work collaboratively with various teams in cross-functional projects such as product development, marketing, sales and operations.
- Monitoring, review and analyze prices to ensure we remain ahead of the competition, while optimizing profitability.
- Align with purchasing and supply chain teams to follow market developments on prices and advise accordingly.
- Calculate price scenarios, considering different alternatives on production and supply chain.
- Analyze benchmarks, based on Regional, National and Global Competitive database, and safeguard Value-Based pricing principles.
- Work with Branch Managers/Sales Team to resolve any pricing issues that may arise and support sales team in pricing towards Key-Accounts and tenders.
- Produce and submit daily reports that analyze warehouse sales which are not meeting minimum margin requirements.
- Manage promotions and contract pricing while leveraging data.
- Ensure the renewal of all vendor special pricing ensuring that it is updated in a timely fashion.
- Develop processes for maintenance, analysis and communication of competitive pricing information within marketing, sales, leadership, and other internal & external stakeholders.
- Responsible to set the correct sales prices, controlling discounts and charges, target margins, retail selling price, floor price, and captive prices, in the ERP system.
- Define, maintain and continuously improve processes, procedures and controls for pricing and quoting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance/Business Administration/Marketing.
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Product knowledge and/or industry experience required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Experience with and skilled in working with ERP systems.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, incl. Excel for business analysis.
- Proven expertise in process management & improvement, strategic planning, implementation and change management.
- Ambitious and flexible approach, ability to manage multiple priorities and key deliverables under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment while maintaining a customer centric approach.
- Innovative and analytical with the confidence to challenge the status quo and experience with developing and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and sales profit.
- English is essential and French is an asset in writing and verbal communication skills with people at all levels, both internal and external.
- This position requires travel (up to 20%)
