About the role
- Review All Payers Claim Database (APCD) state regulations and compliance interpretation
- Write business specifications and translate business needs into business requirements
- Perform data quality review, data preparation and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
- Support regulatory data requests related to All Payer Claims Databases (APCD)
- Continuous monitoring of data quality reports and trending month over month to identify issues before release
- Recognize abnormalities through Data Quality report review and drill down and explain impact across states
- Proactively define, identify, develop and create data responsive to regulatory requirements
- Lead or act as business technical expert in design of new applications or enhancements including integration of solutions
- Perform analytical work to capture, analyze and interpret claims data
- Create complex queries and perform technical programming
- Develop and implement data reports responsive to regulatory requests
- Present data in clear organized format and communicate findings to project team
- Assign work and deadlines to others and manage multiple priorities
Requirements
- 3+ years of Data Quality review and identification of abnormalities
- 3+ years of data interpretation and analysis experience
- 2+ years of Project Management with ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Bachelors Degree required or equivalent years of experience
- All Payer Claims Database (APCD) experience (preferred)
- Audit Command Language (ACL), or SQL (preferred)
- Knowledge of claim processing, claim quality audit program, patient management, and/or a working understanding of Aetna products (preferred)
- Technical capabilities relative to data mining & report generation
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and Chrome
- Experience with databases as well interpretation and manipulation of related data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deliverables simultaneously
- Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
- Embrace compliance as a core competency
- Some overtime will be required
