About the role
- Serve as a senior subject-matter expert for escrow administration and insurance compliance across loan portfolios.
- Provide immediate, hands-on support to stabilize escrow and insurance processes, mitigate risk, and address operational backlogs or breakdowns.
- Review, validate, and resolve complex or high-risk insurance and escrow exceptions, ensuring compliance with credit policy, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
- Partner closely with Loan Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to align data, documentation, and controls across systems.
- Support audit readiness by identifying gaps, preparing documentation, responding to findings, and assisting with remediation efforts related to escrow and insurance.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend practical process improvements to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and sustainability.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procedures, controls, and workflows within escrow and insurance functions.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and supporting team members by sharing expertise, best practices, and guidance—without formal people-management responsibility.
- Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and workflow optimization efforts tied to collateral, insurance, and escrow management.
- Leverage automation, reporting, and data tools where appropriate to improve visibility, tracking, and exception management.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of comprehensive experience in commercial or consumer banking operations, with a strong background in collateral management, insurance compliance, and loan servicing.
- Proven ability to lead teams, ensure regulatory adherence, and implement technology-driven improvements that enhance accuracy and operational performance.
- Deep understanding of insurance requirements, escrow administration, and related compliance obligations across commercial and/or consumer loan products.
- Strong familiarity with regulatory expectations (OCC, FDIC, CFPB) and internal risk management standards.
- Practical experience identifying operational gaps and driving process stabilization and improvement.
- Solid grasp of loan systems, document management platforms, and collateral/insurance tracking tools.
