About the role
- Lead the migration of legacy solutions into clean, model-driven Power Apps backed by Dataverse.
- Analyze legacy SharePoint solutions to understand data structures, business rules, permissions models, and operational dependencies.
- Independently design Dataverse data models, including tables, relationships, constraints, and security roles, aligned to business requirements.
- Plan and execute data migration from SharePoint lists and libraries into Dataverse, including data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
- Modernize business processes by replacing SharePoint-centric workflows with Power Automate flows.
- Identify and address technical debt or architectural limitations during migration.
- Design and build Power Platform Premium solutions, including canvas apps and/or model-driven apps.
- Implement business logic using Power Automate, Dataverse rules, and application-level logic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Develop operational reports and dashboards using Power BI over Dataverse-backed application data.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience developing production applications using Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong emphasis on Dataverse.
- Demonstrated experience in modernizing or migrating SharePoint Online solutions into Dataverse-backed Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
- Strong understanding of relational data modeling and its practical application within Dataverse.
- Experience delivering solutions that use Power Platform Premium capabilities.
- Strong practical experience administering SharePoint Online sites, including permissions, site configuration, and operational support.
- Ability to work directly with senior subject matter experts — economists, policy analysts, attorneys, and program staff — to develop requirements and designs; skill at uncovering underlying business needs, which may require significant effort to surface.
- Experience collaborating with technical leads, project managers, and business stakeholders in structured delivery environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex application scenarios.
