Engineer

• Determine appropriate required welding techniques and procedures for welding applications and qualifications that support the products at EMD
• Generate weld procedure and welder qualification records
• Must be comfortable working effectively in a manufacturing environment where arc welding like GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW, FCAW, PTAW processes which are used to produce x-ray quality structural and seal welds
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve non-routine welding engineering problems as they relate to nontraditional manufacturing and repair work
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering counterparts to resolve joining issues while providing technical support to all involved parties
• Actively interact and participate in meetings to support engineering, manufacturing and program management
• Review of supplier qualifications and procedures or provide support for audits

Weld Engineer

Analyst

• Structural dynamic analysis of critical function rotating machinery including vibration, shock, acoustic, and seismic analysis.
• Performs structural dynamic and acoustic design and simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other contemporary software tools to predict the dynamic response of components and systems.
• Works collaboratively within design teams to achieve effective solutions.
• Develops and implements dynamic testing experiments including modal, vibration, noise, and modal impact testing; collects data and interprets results, conducts data analysis and comparison to predicted results, and writes analysis and test reports.
• Composes quality documentation and written communications including final design reports, engineering calculations of record, technical letters, test reports, and other customer deliverables.
• Assists in the design of new equipment and machinery as conceived to support program and project needs.
• Provides technical assistance in building, installing, and testing new equipment and test facilities to ensure production capabilities.
• Composes and interprets technical specifications and product testing requirements.
• Demonstrates fundamental project planning skills and understanding of cost and schedule implications.
• Understands customer perspectives and inputs and takes appropriate responsive actions.
• Performs work in accordance with company policies and procedures and safety, environmental, and security rules and guidelines.

Dynamics Analyst

• Responsible for programming, executing, and supervising engineering design, construction, installation and/or ongoing engineering support of facilities, systems, and technical policies and procedures
• Coordinates with various internal teams to ensure resources are available for projects, standard tools are available to perform tasks, and in the monitoring progress and processes
• Coach and mentor teams for continued advancement of capabilities and career progression
• Oversight of product created by members of the group to ensure quality work.
• Assign and manage design engineering teams to meet technical and project requirements on-time and within cost allocations.
• Support technical interaction with customers for all aspects of a project, including customer meetings, presentations, and written communications.
• Maintain close involvement with team and drive technical decisions as required to ensure sound engineering decisions in accordance with project needs
• Review and approve engineering documents such as reports, documents, drawings and customer deliverables
• Ensure design reviews are held for projects with design content in accordance with business processes
• Support and/or lead proposal activities including market assessments, accurate engineering scope definition, risk assessment and proposal writing
• Develop, review, test, troubleshoot and refine system hardware and software requirements with internal and external customers, and teach others how to do so.
• Perform requirements capture and specification; feasibility, concept proving and prototyping, and design, develop, test, debug, configure, maintain and document systems
• Find, evaluate and select equipment suppliers and assist with the purchase requisition process
• Create and/or review design documentation for systems
• Create and/or review formal test documentation for systems including SCADA computers, PLCs, system health and redundancy, and system data acquisition
• Integrate 3rd party hardware and software and company developed software into respective systems
• Support deployed systems by analyzing and fixing system related issues
• Follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure technical standards are met according to company standards

Senior Systems & Controls Engineer

Project Manager

• Leads and executes mid-sized projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies
• Collaborates with diverse teams to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget
• Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core projects
• Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways
• Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.
• May be responsible for project management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting
• Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals
• Manage, coordinate and control Project Work Plan execution to achieve project technical, cost and schedule objectives
• Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints
• Lead the project team and regular project meetings to monitor and drive progress toward project objectives
• Maintain effective customer communications, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively
• Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost customer interface and other project related activities

• Develop and monitor the Project Risk Management Plan as part of project planning and execution
