About the role

  • Define, build and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for a Product Team to ensure solution fitness for purpose
  • Define, explore, and support implementation of enablers; guide enablers through planning and enablement
  • Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps; advocate and steer development and improvement of the pipeline and enable Release on Demand
  • Define and implement subsystems and interfaces; allocate responsibilities; define Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs)
  • Participate in planning, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Reviews, and Inspect and Adapt Events
  • Work with Product Owners to determine capacity allocation for enablement work
  • Deliver solutions adhering to standards, leverage reuse of components, and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility
  • Perform technical analysis of potential solutions, including evaluating commercial-off-the-shelf products vs custom solutions
  • Enhance efficiency in build and deploy processes, promote component reusability, and leverage automation
  • Create high-level and detailed design of infrastructure, interfaces, extensions, and workflows while meeting architecture, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
  • Maintain strong relationships using Business Relationship Management practices

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on Kubernetes in an administrator capacity
  • CKA certification will be a plus
  • Experience with code management tool preferably GitHub
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation utilizing GitHub Actions, Helm, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, JFrog Artifactory
  • Experience with tools such as Karpenter, Kyverno
  • Experience with service mesh such as Istio or Linkerd would be a plus
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Experience with at least one Kubernetes platform on public cloud and/or on-premises (EKS, AKS, OpenShift)
  • Experience building or supporting Internal Developer Portal such as Backstage, Humanitec or Spacelift will be a plus
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or relevant equivalent experience required
  • Hands on experience as an IT Architect preferred
  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience required
