About the role

  • Responsible for defining, building and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for a Product Team to help ensure the system or solution is fit for its intended purpose.
  • Define, explore, and support the implementation of enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with Product teams and guiding enablers through planning and enablement.
  • Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps: advocate and steer development and improvement of the pipeline and help architects enable Release on Demand.
  • Define and implement subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and define Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs).
  • Participate in planning, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Reviews, and Inspect and Adapt Events; deliver solutions adhering to standards and re-using components.
  • Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility; adopt SAFe and Lean Agile practices and support decentralized decision making.
  • Assist in technical analysis of potential solutions including evaluating COTS products versus custom built solutions; promote automation and reusability to reduce costs and shorten delivery time.
  • Create high-level and detailed designs of infrastructure, interfaces, extensions, and workflows while meeting architecture, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships to deliver business value using Business Relationship Management practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT on cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering, with a focus on building and operating resilient systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially using Terraform in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Internal Developer Portal/Platform (e.g., Backstage, Port, Spacelift, Humanitec, or custom solutions) to enhance developer experience.
  • Proven expertise in designing, provisioning, and managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or OCI — multi-cloud and hybrid experience is a plus.
  • Solid experience with DevOps toolchains, including CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), artifact management (Artifactory or native cloud tools), and version control systems (Github and/or Gitlab).
  • Good understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automation, infrastructure tooling, and systems management.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles, and experience designing secure, scalable build/deploy pipelines.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack — infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and OS.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with developers, SREs, and QA.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus); configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef/Salt); exposure to infrastructure governance (policy-as-code) and compliance automation; cloud-native security best practices; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent; excellent communication and documentation skills.
