Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in law enforcement, customs, military or similar organization i.e. crime agencies, investigative agencies etc.
- Experience of working on/with land border checkpoints
- Knowledge of passenger, vehicle and cargo screening processes and interdiction techniques
- Understanding of border patrolling techniques
- Border security training and train the trainer experience
- Knowledge of creating standard operating procedures and national strategies for border security
- Specific experience countering the smuggling of weapons or anything that can be used to further terrorism
- Knowledge of screening and border equipment and technology
- Arabic language proficiency
- Experience working in the Middle East or North Africa
- Counter terrorism experience
- Ability to set up fusion cells/information sharing hubs and bring a wide variety of stakeholders together
- Experience working in fragile environments
