About the role
- Serve as the senior technology and engineering leader for the ITS business
- Define and execute the long-term technology strategy
- Provide strategic leadership across hardware, software, and systems engineering disciplines
- Ensure technology platforms, architectures, and development practices position the business for sustained innovation and competitive advantage
- Manage engineering execution through internal teams and external development partners
- Ensure engineering delivery meets product performance, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives
- Provide architectural leadership across ITS products and technology platforms
- Define and enforce engineering standards, design principles, and governance processes
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred
- 15 years of experience in product development and engineering leadership, including responsibility for major product, platform, or program initiatives
- Demonstrated expertise in architecture and product design principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into executable product and technology direction
- Experience operating in a solutions and program-oriented business, ideally within ITS or a closely related domain
- Strong leadership, team-building, and talent development capabilities with a focus on collaboration and empowerment
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Knowledge of relevant global industry and compliance standards
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective working in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
