About the role

  • Provides complex financial and schedule control services for assigned projects
  • Supports Program Managers and program functional participants in the financial/schedule management of large and/or complex projects
  • Works independently to perform project planning, monitoring, and reporting activities for programs/projects as assigned
  • Analyzes and interprets data from SAP
  • Utilizes discretion and analysis in developing, maintaining, and facilitating project plans for projects
  • Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Coordinates projects in accordance with Cubic policies and procedures
  • Establishes the cost accounting structure of projects
  • Assists in the budgeting and scheduling process
  • Participates with scheduling professionals in the creation of project schedules and reviews
  • Provides earned value management
  • Monitors costs to ensure accurate accounting
  • Facilitates cost corrections and/or prepares account correction documents
  • Provides analyses and compiles expected cost data to form Estimate-At-Complete (EAC) forecasts
  • Inputs budget and EAC data into SAP
  • Forecasts expenditures, sales, earnings, and cash flow
  • Monitors and analyzes Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure both activities are timely and correct
  • Prepares various internal and external (customer) financial analyses and reports
  • Supports internal and external audits
  • Supports proposal development activities
  • Distributes various cost and schedule reports to assigned project participants
  • Creates annual budget for product line
  • Maintains and updates financial forecast for product line on a weekly and monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Defense Industry
  • Deep understanding of Defense Industry financial regulations, contracting practices, and compliance standards
  • Proven experience in Project Finance and various contract types (e.g., CPFF, FFP, T&M)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to financial challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Skilled in presenting complex financial data clearly and concisely
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP for financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation
  • Strong mentoring and leadership abilities to support team development and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
