About the role
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other monthly close procedures in the OneStream consolidation tool for CSX Transportation and CSX affiliates
- Provide research and tie-out assistance to other CSX departments (Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Tax, Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, etc.)
- Research current processes and evaluate for automation, simplification, and consistency across all companies
- Assist in the procure to pay process, ensuring accuracy of payments for highly visible items such as fuel
- Assist with non-freight billing and collections from various entities
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree from an accredited institution required in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 1 or more years of experience in Accounting
- Knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of General Ledger and Consolidation systems such as Oracle, SAP, OneStream
- Microsoft Office and other data analyzation tools
