About the role
- Reporting to the VP Strategy and Corporate Development, this position plays a lead role in developing and evolving CSL’s enterprise strategy.
- Lead Enterprise-wide, often global initiatives, coordinating and leading cross functional teams.
- Identify opportunities, evaluating options and making recommendations back to the executive management team and to the Board.
- Focused on identifying as well as executing end-to-end corporate development / M&A transactions.
- Shape the company’s long-term strategic agenda, driving inorganic growth opportunities, and ensuring disciplined execution of high-impact initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Business Units, R&D, and enabling functions to translate corporate ambition into actionable strategies and transactions.
- Lead strategic projects, evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, and play a key role in advancing enterprise value creation.
- Represent the company externally at conferences and events.
Requirements
- MSC / PhD and MBA level
- 12+ years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or top-tier management consulting (healthcare/biopharma experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of leading complex strategic initiatives and executing M&A transactions (buy-side, sell-side, JVs, partnerships).
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in valuation, deal structuring, and investment cases.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation capabilities.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and influencing at senior levels.
- Influencing skills, strong focus on value creation and reliability.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to simplify complexity.
- High integrity and sound judgment.
