About the role

  • Lead an accounting team, including prioritizing tasks and deliverables, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Maintain financial records and general ledger accounts in compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls
  • Oversee a team of accountants (both onshore and offshore), providing training and mentorship
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance
  • Utilize enterprise financial systems (Workday) to process transactions and generate reports
  • Drive automation, system enhancements, and process improvements
  • Lead accounting projects and analysis related to ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, and ASC 350 and serve as a subject matter expert in these areas
  • Review contracts, financials, reconciliations, and journal entries for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with auditors, tax professionals, and financial planning teams
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Conduct technical research on accounting standards and recommend process changes
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and acquisitions
  • Develop and mentor senior accounting leaders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (at a 4 year university)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration strongly preferred
  • 10-12+ years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, Banking, or FinTech
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including advanced knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, and/or ASC 350
  • Proficiency with accounting systems (Workday strongly preferred) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding expectations and deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with acquisitions and integrations
  • Experience managing offshore staff
  • CPA required.
