About the role
- You will report to the Senior Manager, Software Development
- Install and configure the Ascendon product and provide occasional troubleshooting support
- Monitor Ascendon solutions for functionality and performance, and recommend proactive remediation measures
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in Ascendon solutions
- Automate and document platform engineering processes
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Collaborate with architecture and development teams
- Install, configure, and upgrade third-party products and open-source solutions
- Perform bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities within the required maintenance window
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience with development and release processes
- Experience with AWS or an equivalent public cloud
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience configuring, managing, and upgrading servers and software
- Experience with database systems (MS SQL, MySQL) and web services (REST, SOAP)
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, or related services such as Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, Bitbucket, or GitLab)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
- Passionate about continuous learning and eager to leverage AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency
