About the role

  • You will report to the Senior Manager, Software Development
  • Install and configure the Ascendon product and provide occasional troubleshooting support
  • Monitor Ascendon solutions for functionality and performance, and recommend proactive remediation measures
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in Ascendon solutions
  • Automate and document platform engineering processes
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with architecture and development teams
  • Install, configure, and upgrade third-party products and open-source solutions
  • Perform bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities within the required maintenance window

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with development and release processes
  • Experience with AWS or an equivalent public cloud
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience configuring, managing, and upgrading servers and software
  • Experience with database systems (MS SQL, MySQL) and web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, or related services such as Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, Bitbucket, or GitLab)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
  • Passionate about continuous learning and eager to leverage AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency
