About the role

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of all data integrations with the Guidewire platform using modern cloud-native tools (AWS, APIs, ETL, Glue)
  • Oversee architecture and engineering of inbound/outbound data flows between internal systems and third-party platforms
  • Partner with the SI to align technical integration and reporting strategies with business and program requirements
  • Manage teams responsible for integration development, solution design, and data transformation pipelines
  • Build and enforce integration architecture governance, data security, and compliance standards
  • Drive best practices in API development, real-time data streaming, and batch data processing
  • Champion automation, reusability, and reliability in integration design to accelerate delivery and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and oversee development of data models and reports
  • Establish scalable frameworks for performance monitoring, data quality assurance, and operational support
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams
  • Monitor and report on integration KPIs, platform performance, and SLAs
  • Support enterprise data strategy and integration modernization goals through platform improvements and architecture evolution
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex integration issues and production challenges
  • Lead financial and capacity planning to align team efforts with business priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related
  • 10+ years’ experience leading the development and delivery of all inbound and outbound integrations with the Guidewire platform and establishing enterprise reporting/analytics
  • 5+ years of building and leading high-performing teams, enterprise-wide programs, or large cross-functional programs
  • Deep technical understanding of Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter), React, AWS, and modern web/cloud development frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, API management, and microservices architecture
  • Proficient with Guidewire integration concepts including GX Model, GOSU language, Edge APIs, and Integration Gateway
  • Experience with Guidewire Data Platform (DataHub, InfoCenter) for analytics and system interoperability
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Apache Camel) and API Gateway technologies like AWS API Gateway and Apigee
  • Hands-on experience with ETL technologies (AWS Glue, Snowflake), event-based architecture (EventBridge, Kafka, SQS, SNS), and batch processing
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., CCPA)
  • Experience managing third-party vendor integrations with systems such as CRMs, payment gateways, and external data providers
  • Demonstrated expertise overseeing inbound and outbound integration models: REST and SOAP APIs, Message Queues (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ), Batch file processing, Event-driven architecture
  • Strong architectural background and ability to evaluate trade-offs between configuration vs customization
  • Ability to drive architecture strategy and implement scalable integration and reporting platforms
  • Strong leadership background managing large-scale integration teams and engineering functions
  • Effective communication, presentation, and influence skills at all organizational levels, including C-suite
  • Willingness to travel as needed for role
