About the role
- Handle declaratory judgment and recovery actions related to CGL/Construction Defect claims
- Work collaboratively with adjusters and management to provide coverage analysis
- Review Time Limited Demands and provide direction
- Ensure appropriate claim strategies and coverage analyses are completed
- Assign coverage attorneys and develop litigation management strategies
- Provide feedback on policy forms and claim analysis with underwriting and risk engineering partners
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in technical claim-handling role
- Specific experience in CGL/Construction Defect
- Legal experience at a law firm handling insurance coverage issues is a plus
- Major claim adjustment and coverage analysis experience
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- BA or Juris Doctorate required
- Proven problem solving abilities
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively
- Ability to travel is necessary
