About the role
- Reporting to the Branch Sales Manager
- Growth of a specific sales territory
- Providing excellent levels of customer service to businesses
- Success hinges on 80% New Business Development and 20% Account Management
- Play a key role in all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, appointment making, customer presentations, and demonstrations
- Efficient planning and management of the territory
- Offering a consultative approach across all levels from shop floor to board level
- Develop a thorough understanding of each prospect or customer and their operations, looking for opportunities to secure new business and develop further business
Requirements
- 3 years sales experience, ideally within the Materials Handling sector
- Strong new business development skills
- Excellent customer management skills to build long lasting relationships
- Personable – ability to build strong relationships
- Strong presentation and customer facing skills
- Commercial acumen (need identification, market awareness, competitor awareness)
- Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Cloud based CRM System
- Excellent organisational skills (specifically territory planning, time management and working to deadline)
- Meet individual sales targets by maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Ability to absorb client information and communicate features and benefits to customers
- KPI driven
- Full UK driving licence
