About the role
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for the Windows sensor team (Falcon Prevent)
- Drive technical strategy and build technology roadmaps
- Mentor engineers and ensure successful project delivery
- Define and enforce architecture reviews, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Lead performance optimization, scalability improvements, and technical debt reduction
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and champion projects to improve reliability and development velocity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation and cross-platform architectural improvements
- Stay current with industry trends and security threats in the Windows ecosystem
- Contribute to keeping the Windows sensor as an advanced and reliable endpoint security solution
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 6 years focused on systems programming
- Extensive software development experience
- Deep expertise in Windows OS internals, kernel development, and security architecture
- Advanced knowledge of C/C++ programming and modern C++ practices
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and resilient software development, including client/data/cloud architecture
- Experience with real-time security monitoring and threat detection systems
- Technical leadership experience with mentoring and influencing engineering teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks (government customer requirements)
- Bonus: experience with Linux kernel development or eBPF; macOS internals; cross-platform development; malware analysis; open-source contributions; remote team experience
