About the role
- Administer and maintain endpoint management systems (Jamf Pro for macOS, Microsoft SCCM for Windows) to deploy software, enforce configurations, and secure devices (including Linux endpoints)
- Lead vulnerability and patch management efforts for client endpoints; perform OS/application updates, coordinate security patches, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Implement and enforce endpoint security policies (encryption, antivirus/EDR, firewalls) and compliance standards while minimizing user impact
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT Operations, and Support teams to design, deploy, and respond to endpoint threats and incidents
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex user endpoint issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux with a focus on customer service and communication
- Develop scripts and automated workflows (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline provisioning, software distribution, configuration changes, and monitoring
- Monitor endpoint performance, security alerts, and compliance dashboards; proactively address anomalies and optimize configurations
- Create and maintain documentation for endpoint management processes, standards, and best practices; train end-users and internal teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems or endpoint management (desktop/client administration and security)
- Proven expertise in Jamf Pro and Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems (system configuration, networking basics, OS imaging, enterprise security best practices)
- Experience with endpoint vulnerability assessment and remediation, patch management and compliance verification
- Solid scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions (EDR/antivirus, disk encryption, identity and access management on endpoints)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Customer service / user-focused attitude with emphasis on empathy and productivity
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Support)
- Willingness to work the shift 12 PM to 9 PM IST
- Remote work in India (location specified)
- Bonus: Jamf Certified Admin, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/SCCM certifications, Microsoft/Apple OS certifications (e.g., ACSP)
- Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager or other MDM/UEM platforms
- Bonus: Familiarity with managing Linux endpoints at scale using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Bonus: Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon or other EDR tools and enterprise-scale environments
