About the role
- As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations.
We're looking for a front-end engineer to join our team to raise the bar for UI accessibility as we build our nextgen UI framework and design system.
Collaborate closely with product design and UI engineering teams with a heavy focus on accessibility.
Ensure Accessibility Compliance through UI development, testing, and code reviews to meet WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
Conduct Regular Accessibility Audits and provide expert guidance.
Collaborate Cross-functionally with backend engineers, product designers, and product managers.
Triage and Prioritize accessibility issues based on severity, impact, and urgency.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and write tests that validate accessibility functionality.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and WAI-ARIA 1.2
Proficiency with screen readers (VoiceOver for Mac, JAWS/NVDA for Windows) and accessibility testing tools (Axe, Google Lighthouse)
Experience building user-centric and scalable UI frameworks and design systems
Expert knowledge of modern web standards and front-end engineering tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, REST API, GraphQL, TypeScript, Node/NPM, Responsive UI)
Understanding of cloud technologies and end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products
Experience with localization and internationalization (i18n)
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React/Next.js, Vue, Ember, or Lit
Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and tools for improving and maintaining performance and code quality
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats
Passion for UX consistency, accessibility, and empathy for the end user
