About the role

  • Oversee the loan process from initial application to close of file
  • Partner with internal team members and external clients in qualifying and processing of loan files
  • Complete Verbal Verification of Employment on assigned loans within 10 days of closing
  • Order third party verifications such as appraisals, condo certs, title documents, flood certs, etc.
  • Review obtained loan packages for signatures, dates, notary stamps, etc. prior to giving funding authority
  • Partner with Loan Officer Assistant in retrieving, obtaining signatures and overnighting CEMA and CO-OP documents
  • Oversee pipeline management to ensure files are accurately and efficiently processed within organizational deadlines
  • Complete basic review of loan files to ensure necessary documentation and data fields in loan origination/processing system are complete and accurate
  • Assist in reconciling final ALTA statements
  • Process file once locked, submit to Underwriting for conditions and direct Loan Officer Assistants to properly order appropriate services for files
  • Provide Branch Manager with regular updates and reporting on branch pipeline status
  • Complete post consummation closing disclosures and issue refund checks
  • Act as the liaison between the branch and corporate underwriting operations
  • Work on special projects as necessary

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ mortgage or lending experience in the capacity of an Underwriter, Processor or Originator
  • Operations management experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, underwriting guidelines and statutes relevant to the mortgage industry
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ellie Mae Encompass experience, preferred
