About the role
- Legal Research and Writing: Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft necessary documents including motions and appeals.
- Document Preparation: Prepare, proof, and file legal documents, utilizing platforms such as the EEO and MSPB portals.
- Caseload Management: Support an active legal caseload by tracking deadlines, coordinating filings, and ensuring client communications are handled accurately, professionally, and on time.
- Executive Support: Own executive inbox and calendar management, proactively prioritizing requests, anticipating needs, coordinating travel and meetings, and ensuring high-priority items are followed through to completion.
- Client Communication: Manage and coordinate client communications related to active matters, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional follow-through in alignment with attorney guidance.
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to maintain efficient legal and operational workflows, helping translate priorities into action in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- Legal Experience: High-level paralegal experience with proven ability in legal research, writing, and litigation support.
- Executive Support Skills: Expertise in managing high-volume inboxes and calendars for senior executives.
- Communication Skills: Strong, professional communication and coordination abilities with clients and internal teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with e-filing systems and legal document management tools such as MyCase and Dropbox.
- Detail Orientation: High degree of attention to detail and organizational skills, necessary for managing multifaceted responsibilities.
- Resilience and Flexibility: Able to manage shifting priorities, handle time-sensitive work, and engage confidently and professionally in direct, outcome-focused discussions.
- Judgment & Follow-Through: Comfortable managing priorities proactively, including flagging issues, recommending next steps, and ensuring commitments are executed.
