About the role
- Own the end-to-end review of complex, non-standard sales contracts to ensure revenue is recognized accurately under ASC 606
- Manage key areas of the revenue month-end close, including preparing complex journal entries and reconciliations and delivering insightful flux analysis to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in the quote-to-cash process and implementing scalable best practices
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, preparing PBC schedules and addressing auditor inquiries
- Lead technical accounting research on new or unusual revenue scenarios, document findings in memos, and present conclusions to accounting leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and operations, to support the revenue process
- Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress towards CPA certification strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of public accounting experience working on public companies
- 2-3 years in industry performing technical revenue accounting
- Experience with consumption preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with NetSuite ARM
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
