About the role
- Prepare and review federal and multistate business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065)
- Create detailed quarterly and year-end tax projections, including book-to-tax adjustments and apportionment schedules
- Prepare individual returns and shareholder/partner projections based on entity results
- Analyze client-provided financials and documents, identify outstanding items, and communicate directly with clients
- Serve as a trusted advisor on tax planning, compliance, and strategic issues
- Manage client relationships and ensure compliance across various business structures
- Lead and mentor junior staff, supporting their development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field
- Master’s in Taxation a plus
- Minimum 3 years of tax-focused public accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Expertise in federal and multistate tax compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency with tax software: CCH ProSystem fx, Lacerte
- Familiarity with research tools: CCH AnswerConnect, TaxNotes
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) and Karbon
- Able to legally work in the United States (application asks about work authorization and sponsorship)
