About the role
- Responsible for designing, building, and managing the data architecture of the organization.
- Work closely with stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers to develop scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Develop data models, database schemas, and data integration strategies to ensure effective storage, retrieval, and analysis across systems.
- Set up and implement data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Define data migration strategies and perform data mapping.
- Optimize database performance and ensure scalability.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Atleast 8-10 years of relevant experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in Apache, Cloudera and Data Analysis.
- Experience in designing Data banks, building data models and data mapping
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with cloud-based data technologies (GCP) is preferred.
