Accounts Receivable

• Monitor and resolve outstanding or pending insurance claims and account balances.
• Conduct timely follow-ups with payers via phone, fax, email, and payer websites.
• Investigate and resolve claim rejections using systems such as Realmed and Availity.
• Research credit balances and escalate to the Refunds Department when appropriate.
• Maintain and update payer guidelines, ensuring internal teams are informed of changes.
• Assist Patient Services with statement requests, itemized bills, and account research.
• Support onboarding and continued development of the AR team through training, mentoring, and skill-building.
• Distribute workload, monitor task completion, and ensure departmental efficiency.
• Prepare and submit detailed billing documentation for escalations and payer appeals.
• Partner cross-departmentally on projects, bringing AR expertise to organizational initiatives.
• Communicate issues, trends, and process improvement opportunities to AR leadership.
