About the role
- Lead the business development efforts for new customers
- Aggressively establish new relationships, generating revenue growth
- Maximize enterprise profitability
- Develop and execute action plans for closing new deals
- Self-identify and develop new business opportunities
- Coordinate all information, activities & internal resources to move opportunities through the sales process
- Establish credibility with customers by understanding their business issues and presenting solutions
- Guide cross-functional teams to develop solutions for prospects
- Collaborate and introduce prospects to other Cowan service offerings
- Know the mission, policies, & structure of the organization to aid in the sales cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of truckload sales experience
- TMS experience desired. TMW preferred
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of all terminal operation aspects
- Travel may be required as dictated by the customer/business
