About the role
- **PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **
- **Building Common Ground (60%) **
- - Manage a multi-pronged initiative that supports community foundations to implement community-based projects to connect and collaborate across differences, including a grant portfolio, learning and storytelling agenda, as well as preconference convenings
- - Lead the implementation of virtual discussion series that highlights leading thinkers and their ideas for how we can come together, not apart.
- - Support programming offered in collaboration with external partners, such as Communicating Across Divides: A Facilitation Intensive
- - Work with the Executive Vice President to build internal capacity to implement building common ground related offerings.
- **Strategy and Special Projects (20%) **
- - Supports the Executive Vice President to advance strategy related priorities and translate strategy into organizational process and policy
- - Manage a variety of projects that advance the priorities of the Strategy, Learning, and Leadership team in coordination with both internal stakeholders and external members and partners
- **Administrative (20%) **
- - Contribute to overarching organizational goals by participating in cross-functional working groups.
Requirements
- **QUALIFICATIONS**
- - 7 years of related experience managing projects.
- - 3 years of experience managing a grant-making process, preferred.
- **POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES **
- - Strong project management skills, including the ability to positively and proactively engage stakeholders.
- - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- - Experience with or aptitude for the process of building new intitiatives
- - Experience in philanthropy and/or nonprofit sector, preferred.

- - Experience or ability to use CRM database solutions, preferably Salesforce.
- - Proficient skill in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
