About the role
- Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the employee’s first day, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Partner with hiring managers and IT to provision system access, credentials, and equipment for new hires.
- Manage internal transfers and employee changes within HRIS systems.
- Process terminations, verify documentation, and coordinate access removal and equipment return.
- Collect and validate I-9 documentation, complete E-Verify requirements, and ensure federal compliance deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS, Smartsheets, and related systems.
- Enroll employees in required compliance training and monitor completion.
- Provide Payroll with timely updates related to hires, terminations, and employee changes.
- Respond to general employee inquiries and route requests to appropriate departments as needed.
- Collaborate across HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, and campus teams to improve processes and reduce errors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of HR, onboarding, or people operations experience preferred.
- Familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now or similar), Smartsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
