About the role

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for sales, corporate, and leadership roles—from intake through close—with a strong emphasis on passive candidate engagement.
  • Proactively headhunt talent through direct outreach, referrals, competitive intelligence, and targeted sourcing—not reliance on inbound applicants.
  • Partner closely with executives and senior leaders to define success profiles, assess talent gaps, and build hiring strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Execute custom search strategies by role type (sales, leadership, functional corporate) rather than one-size-fits-all recruiting.
  • Lead offer strategy, negotiation, and closing to secure top-tier talent in competitive markets.
  • Conduct market mapping and competitive intelligence to identify where top talent works, how they move, and what motivates them to change.
  • Build and maintain always-on pipelines for sales and hard-to-fill corporate roles, anticipating future demand.
  • Develop talent pools of high-performing passive candidates who can be activated quickly as needs arise.
  • Utilize sourcing tools, CRM/ATS capabilities, and LinkedIn creatively and persistently to uncover talent others miss.
  • Act as a thought partner to hiring leaders—guiding role scoping, interview design, and hiring decisions.
  • Drive structured interview processes and coach hiring teams on evaluating talent effectively.
  • Provide informal coaching and best-practice sharing with junior recruiters or contract support as needed.
  • Represent Cotton Holdings as a credible, consultative talent ambassador in the market.
  • Partner with HR and Marketing to strengthen employer branding, particularly for sales and leadership audiences.
  • Deliver a high-touch, transparent candidate experience, especially with passive and executive-level candidates.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of recruiting experience with demonstrated success in headhunting, outbound sourcing, and closing passive talent.
  • Proven experience recruiting sales roles and professional corporate positions (in-house or agency background acceptable).
  • Strong ability to conduct competitive research and market mapping.
  • Comfortable partnering with executives and influencing hiring decisions.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability—this role is measured by results, not postings filled.
  • Experience in disaster recovery, construction, restoration, or emergency response industries is a plus, but headhunting capability outweighs industry background.
Benefits
  • Impactful Work: Make a difference by helping businesses prepare for and recover from disasters.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside passionate, talented professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Career Growth: Expand your skills and grow within a dynamic, industry-leading company.
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Enjoy a strong benefits package, including healthcare, vision, dental, retirement plans, unlimited PTO, and more.
