About the role
- Oversee all six phases of the Venture program, from team acquisition through post-trip follow-up, ensuring a smooth and well-supported experience throughout.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Venture Team Leaders when a COTN staff member is not leading the trip.
- Coordinate Venture Teams as necessary to ensure readiness and a successful experience in country.
- Partner with senior management to develop and refine processes that support clarity, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Recruit new Venture Teams by developing effective promotion and acquisition tools in collaboration with the Community Development and Advancement teams.
- Design and maintain engaging training resources, including participant manuals, videos, and other learning materials.
- Update, edit, and maintain U.S. Venture Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with best practices.
- Maintain key Venture resources and records, including Venture Vitals, U.S. Venture calendars, pricing, and the Venture Projects Master List.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of all Venture program components in partnership with each country’s Implementing Venture Coordinator and international staff.
- Collaborate with country-based Implementing Venture Coordinators to support Venture policies and practices as needed.
- Work closely with COTN Operations and International departments to plan, coordinate, and deliver training and program support.
- Ensure data is saved on SharePoint and manage Venture SharePoint site.
- Lead Venture Standards of Service audits in required years and complete comprehensive year-end summaries for each country.
- Coordinate all normal travel logistics for these teams in addition to working with our Physical Care Specialists to prepare them for their service in the country.
Requirements
- Prior experience with short-term or long-term missions, as well as international travel, is preferred.
- Proficiency with standard word processing and related software used to manage detailed communication and complex participant interactions.
- A genuine and demonstrated interest in all aspects of COTN’s ministry.
- A deep commitment to upholding COTN’s Mission and Vision, and to modelling its values across all communications, conduct, operations, policies, and practices.
- A relational and collaborative approach, with strong communication skills, self-initiative, and a confident, responsible, and personable demeanor.
- Previous experience managing staff is preferred.
