About the role
- Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
- Utilize therapeutic approaches tailored to the client's needs including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more.
- Attend to relational ethics while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and families.
- Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
- Comply with clinic policies and state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations.
- Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards.
- Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Current and unrestricted license and/or certification to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure as needed.
- Knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care.
- Open-mindedness and desire to learn from other disciplines and local knowledge.
- 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences.
