About the role

  • Continuously improve processes by finding creative ways to solve data and analytics challenges and quickly adopting new technologies.
  • Work closely with global teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that make data more accurate and operations more efficient.
  • Lead projects from start to finish, helping design experiments, analyze results, and implement improvements.
  • Build and manage systems that move and organize data from lab tools and cloud platforms so it’s easy to access, reliable, and fast.
  • Create dashboards and reports that show key performance indicators and help teams make better decisions.
  • Develop and maintain AI tools that predict issues, detect anomalies, and improve scheduling, while ensuring they run smoothly and stay accurate.
  • Explain technical concepts clearly and train others on how to use dashboards and AI tools to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as biology, data science, bioinformatics, genomics, or computer science (or equivalent experience).
  • Understanding of genomics and genotyping platforms and the ability to learn detailed processes.
  • Preferably has experience working with genetic or genomics datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to tackle complex challenges.
  • Ability to lead projects and work with teams to drive improvements.
  • Experience working with data using tools like R or Python; comfortable handling large datasets.
  • Ability to work with databases and use SQL to find and summarize information.
  • Skilled in creating clear and useful data visualizations.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning tools and techniques for building and evaluating models.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern deployment tools.
  • Understanding of best practices for managing AI models over time.
  • Experience in at least one advanced AI area, such as language processing, image analysis, or generative AI.
  • Strong foundation in math and statistics for data analysis and AI.
  • Bonus: Experience with tools for building data pipelines (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Airflow).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong desire to learn and excel.
