About the role

  • Provide synchronous and asynchronous support to learners in the Cloud Support Specialist training program
  • Attend and engage in mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding
  • Monitor appropriate Slack channels for learner questions and answer them promptly
  • Check-in with learners to see if they have any questions
  • Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time
  • Assist in keeping the session progressing during technical difficulties
  • Monitor Slack for questions during non-live sessions
  • Foster discussion in Slack channels
  • Review content materials to prepare for lectures
  • Hold Individual Office Hours via Zoom with learners
  • Grade learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven days
  • Provide feedback for program improvement
  • Submit weekly write-ups summarizing accomplishments and challenges

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in Cloud Support, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, DevOps, etc.
  • A desire to support students in expanding their careers in technical roles
  • Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
  • Outstanding team and people management skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to understand and use new learning and content management systems
  • Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Preferred qualification: Prior mentorship or teaching experience at any level
  • Comp TIA Network+ and Comp TIA Linux+ certification would be a plus, but not required
