About the role
- Promote and sell Japanese food products to Japanese restaurants, supermarkets, and other establishments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify and approach potential new customers, conduct sales presentations, and negotiate contracts to secure new accounts
- Provide product information, samples, and recommendations to clients, addressing their specific needs and preferences
- Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and customer service, to ensure timely delivery and resolution of customer issues
- Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to company growth and profitability
- Travel locally for client visits and industry events; company vehicle provided after 3-month probation
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese, Korean, or Chinese
- Previous sales experience a plus (1-2 years)
- Candidates without prior experience will also be considered
- Passion for Japanese food and familiarity with Japanese culinary culture
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service industry is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel locally to visit clients and attend industry events as needed
- Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record
