• Own the entire in-studio technical production, managing all gear, recording, and livestreaming for two (and potentially three) shows per week.
• Lead the execution of all asset handoffs, ensuring 100% of footage and project assets are perfectly organized and delivered to the post-production team within 10 hours of recording.
• Constantly find new ways to improve performance, analyzing viewer retention, tracking growth metrics, and proposing new growth experiments to help grow the podcast.
• Achieve 100% flawless technical execution for all recording sessions and the release of all the content.
• Propose and implement 1 new optimization (e.g., set design, pacing) with the goal of increasing average viewer retention on long-form episodes by 10% within 6 months.

Technical Podcast Producer

Video Editor

• Own the entire long-form editing process, turning 2-3 hour raw recordings into compelling video episodes, predominately for YouTube
• Lead the creative execution, adding dynamic B-roll, designing the ad insertions, motion graphics, and sound design to maximize viewer engagement
• Constantly find new ways to level up our editing style, staying ahead of YouTube trends while maintaining our unique, mission-driven brand
• Full Lifecycle Video Editing: Own the entire post-production for 1-2 long-form YouTube episodes per week, including multi-cam assembly, story editing, color grading, sound mixing, and adding all creative/graphical elements
• Creative Storytelling: Go beyond just cutting. Identify the most powerful moments, and structure the edit to maximize emotional impact and audience retention
• Brand & Quality Control: Act as the final guardian for all long-form content. Ensure every second of video aligns with our brand, our mission, and our high standard of technical excellence (no audio pops, no color issues, no typos)
• Asset & Project Management: Meticulously organize all project files, raw footage, B-roll, and graphic assets in our systems (ClickUp & Google Drive), ensuring seamless handoffs and archiving
• Performance Analysis: Review the performance of every episode you cut. Analyze YouTube Studio retention graphs to understand what's working and what's not, and bring those insights to the next edit
• Collaborative Revisions: Work directly with the Head of Content to receive and execute feedback efficiently and with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude

Podcast Long-Form Video Editor

• Own the entire long-form vlog editing process, finding the most compelling narrative arc in hours of raw footage per video.
• Lead the creative execution, music selection, B-roll integration, motion graphics, and sound design to maximize viewer engagement and emotional connection.
• Constantly find new ways to level up our storytelling style, studying the best narrative creators on YouTube while maintaining our unique, mission-driven brand.
• Own the entire post-production for 1-2 complex, long-form YouTube videos per month, including sifting through all footage, building a story, multi-cam assembly, color grading, sound design, and adding all creative/graphical elements.
• Act as the final guardian for all vlog content. Ensure every second of video aligns with our brand, our mission, and our high standard of technical excellence (no audio pops, no color issues, no typos).
• Review the performance of every video you cut. Analyze YouTube Studio retention graphs to understand what's working and what's not, and bring those insights to the next edit.

• Own the entire short-form editing process, transforming raw podcast footage into a pipeline of polished, high-engagement videos that drive our daily content schedule.
• Lead the creative execution, mining content across our entire library to find the best hooks and tell addictive short-form stories that stop the scroll.
• Constantly find new ways to level up our content, using every tool under your belt (music, VFX, SFX, kinetic text, etc.) to create magic in the edit and drive retention.
• Edit 20–30 short-form videos/month across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
• Transform long-form raw footage into addictive short-form clips with a strong hook, clear pacing, and a powerful payoff.
• Add motion graphics, kinetic text, music, and sound design to punch up retention and match platform style.
• Constantly research and present new styles, sounds, and formats that we can adapt for our content.
• Analyze which hooks and styles are performing best and apply those learnings to future edits.
• Pitch original short-form video ideas based on your understanding of our content and the platforms.

Short-Form Video Editor

Designer

• Own the entire thumbnail design process, from concept to final design, for all long-form YouTube content across both brands.
• Lead a rapid-fire A/B testing process, constantly iterating on designs and analyzing performance data to understand why one thumbnail beats another.
• Constantly research and analyze YouTube trends, competitor designs, and audience psychology to keep our thumbnails ahead of the curve and optimized for clicks.

YouTube Thumbnail Designer

Digital Marketing

• Own the overarching content and growth strategy for all our platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
• Lead a rapid-fire experimentation process, tracking analytics, A/B testing formats, hooks, topics, and storytelling techniques daily to find what resonates and scales.
• Constantly find new ways to go viral, growth hack algorithms, and convert new viewers into a deeper community relationship (email subscribers, Discord members, live events etc.).
• You’ll also lead in project managing across all our pages, posting content, and actively looking for ways to improve our systems and processes.
