About the role
- oversees and manages tasks related to civil design criteria development, special technical studies, final design and construction support
- provides technical support to the Project Construction Management (PCM) team in managing final design and construction packages
- directs and supervises the development of Civil Design Criteria
- provides support into planning, permitting, environmental and ROW investigations
- manages and monitors progress and schedule of technical chapters of criteria development
- assesses the studies to support design criteria development, Technical Advisory Panel (TAP), third party agreements
- assists in the development of scope, delivery schedule and cost estimates
- supervises the civil team to support construction contract packages
- provides updates of design requirements and technical documents
Requirements
- 15+ years of civil engineering practical experience
- a degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- California registered Professional Engineer
- knowledgeable in utility relocation
- ability to use experience to evaluate engineering solutions for major transportation projects from planning, preliminary, final design to construction phases
