About the role

  • Review of Customs documents to be filed with CBP ensuring accuracy
  • Verify classification and valuation with the importer when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations
  • Obtain the appropriate documents required to support claims or disclaims
  • Ensure the proper and timely payment of duties, taxes, or other charges assessed or collected by CBP on merchandise by reason of its importation
  • Maintain documents required under 19 CFR 163
  • Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve any delays or issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
  • Support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage
  • U.S. Customs Brokerage License Certification in customs compliance or a related area
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, processes, and documentation
  • Experience with ACE Secure Data Portal
  • Proficient in using customs management software and systems
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
