About the role
- Manage and grow key accounts
- Act as primary contact for key accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional service and meet client needs
- Oversee operational activities and identify risks, pain points, and service gaps
- Lead client onboarding and implementation
- Monitor and analyze customer performance according to committed volumes
- Facilitate contract and rate negotiations
- Develop account plans and action outlined satisfaction, threats, and development opportunities
- Manage rate optimization and yield management
- Travel as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in key account management in the transportation and logistics industry is preferred
- Experience with supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
