About the role
- Supervising labor management and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily
- Conducting staff meetings to review work activities and assure continuous improvement
- Keeping senior management informed of critical issues that affect operations
- Ensuring the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products
- Managing operations to meet productivity and service goals
- Implementing and reporting on-going cost savings measures
- Providing ideas for more efficient operations
- Meeting client specified KPIs and complying with quality system requirements
- Providing direction and support to Human Resources
- Trains new staff in assigned duties and assesses their progress
- Managing the overall training and evaluation responsibilities of warehouse staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred)
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
- Experience with RF Scanners and WMS functions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational, personnel, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as required
