About the role
- Supervise and lead a team of credit control officers
- Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payments
- Follow up overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales
- Handle disputed Invoices and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
- Maintain accurate records of all payment follow up activities
- Conduct credit checks and risk assessments on new customers
- Evaluate the Credit limit weekly and update the revised limits based on evaluation and approval
- Review and prepare Credit Insurance overview at the month end
Requirements
- 4-6 years’ Experience as a Credit Controller
- Experience in handling strategic accounts
- Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Transport and Logistics Experience would be beneficial
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Customer focused
