About the role

  • Prepare competitive, high-quality proposals in response to forwarding RFQs/RFIs/RFPs received from global / regional priority accounts closely cooperating with other Tender Management Teams, Bid Owner, and Product as well as support functions.
  • Act as support for proposals lead by other Region’s
  • Should lead any local tenders as a bid-manager
  • Converting network queries to business effectively
  • Develop competitive proposals for DSV Accounts
  • Creation/Compilation of Requests for Quotation, reviewing pricing with bid owners and product managers.
  • Ensure compliance with Tender Management processes and guidelines
  • Ensure timely, accurate and quality responses are delivered to the requesting parties
  • Update rate database as well as bid templates
  • Update and maintain monthly tender data records and follow up on progress of submitted tenders
  • Responsible for thorough bid analysis upon receipt, summarizing key information, requirements, volumes and comparing it to any similar bid quoted earlier.
  • Interface with other functional groups such as Commercial Team, Key Account Management, Industry Verticals and Trade Lane Development, as well as with customers in creating/delivering customer driven services and solutions.
  • Ensure post bid analysis to be performed by bid owners for all bids, both successful and unsuccessful tenders, ensures receiving tender feedback is shared with relevant functions in the organization.
  • Any other relevant task as signed by management.

Requirements

  • Experience of minimum 8+ years working, out of which min. of 5+ years in the industry and 2+ years in a commercial orientated role (tender management, business development etc.)
  • A bachelor’s degree is desirable
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal), any other language is an advantage
  • Functional and operational know-how on global forwarding
  • Able to manage cross-functional interfaces
  • Organizations / Project Management skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control)
  • Result oriented, team driven, and customer focused
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyse RFI and RFQ documents in a timely manner
  • Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
