About the role
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies
- Conduct compliance audits and reviews to assess adherence to regulations and internal procedures
- Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies and procedures accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across different departments
- Assist in investigating compliance-related incidents and violations
- Support the development and maintenance of compliance documentation and record-keeping
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging compliance trends
- Assist in preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry
- Knowledge of and experience with U.S. Export Regulations and the AES Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR)
- Experience working with the CBP Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
- Working understanding of export documentation and transportation methods
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
- Certification in compliance or a related field (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) preferred
