About the role

  • Responsible for the entire operational leg of a trade lane, from identifying a material need, to claiming a replacement and the closure
  • Optimising the SKU range to ensure target achievement in relation to inventory and targeted service levels
  • Track stock levels and identify issues in advance
  • Process supplier orders accurately and timeously
  • Liaise with the warehouse continuously to ensure the speedy release of parts
  • Track and intervene on claims process when required
  • Scrutinise the backorder listing daily
  • Search for and coordinate alternative solutions – stripping/alternate suppliers
  • Follow up on suppliers on emergency orders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI (preferred), QlikView, or Tableau
  • Must have Matric / Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering, commerce, logistics, supply chain management) and / or 5 years equivalent experience ideally within the automotive industry
  • Own vehicle with driver’s license
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
