About the role

  • Integrate, define, and evaluate data sources across the organization.
  • Map and categorize data against business elements and user needs.
  • Develop data visualization and reporting methods such as graphs, dashboards, and reports.
  • Build and maintain reports, models, and dashboards around key metrics to monitor and improve performance.
  • Continuously monitor standardized metrics and provide timely and accurate insight on company performance and identified variances.
  • Translate complex data questions into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Produce and present results of analyses, highlighting strategic implications and recommendations for senior management.
  • Effectively communicate methodologies and nuances of analyses and implications on key takeaways.
  • Act as a reliable decision-making support resource for the organization, building custom queries to answer business questions.
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-disciplinary team to supplement existing business intelligence functionality and create data visualizations that enhance executive insight on performance.
  • Perform routine and ad hoc reporting and analyses.
  • Identify solutions to ad hoc requests and problems.
  • Maintain data integrity across multiple data sources/databases.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional experience with a focus on data and business analysis is required.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in healthcare with a focus on data and business analysis is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Strong experience with and knowledge of relational databases (Any SQL required, MySQL preferred).
  • Experience with building and maintaining data visualizations (Tableau preferred).
  • Substantial experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience working with and analyzing healthcare data (e.g., eligibility, claims) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to use data to tell a story.
  • Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work with minimal guidance, seeking guidance on only the most complex tasks.
