About the role
- Leads the consistent implementation of Convergint’s safety programs across assigned U.S. regions and CTCs.
- Provides oversight and support to tiered CTC safety resources.
- Partners with operations leaders to integrate safety into daily operations and decision-making.
- Assesses the effectiveness and quality of execution at the CTC level, focusing on outcomes, risk reduction, and behaviour changes – not activity alone.
- Monitors operational safety risk as well as leading and lagging indicators to identify trends, systemic risks, and opportunities for proactive intervention.
- Participates in incident investigations, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and analyzes safety performance data and trends.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
- Supports ISO aligned safety management practices.
- Provides functional leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to CTC-based Safety Coordinators through a dotted-line reporting relationship.
- Supports the development and continuous improvement of Safety Coordinators through training, guidance, and best-practice sharing.
- Serves as the primary U.S. safety subject matter and strategic partner to the Director of Global Safety.
- Supports customer safety requirements.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or related field preferred
- 7–10 years of operational, service, or safety leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site operations required
- Prior experience working closely with field teams and operational leadership strongly preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent preferred
- Commitment to obtaining relevant certification if not held
- OSHA 500 preferred
- First Aid and CPR preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within assigned regions.
