About the role

  • Manages multiple concurrent transmission electric system capital improvement projects
  • Responsible for assembling a cross-functional project team for each high-priority project
  • For high-priority projects, leads the project teams to successfully complete projects
  • Facilitates development of a detailed baseline project schedule
  • Monitors progress towards the schedule by all groups
  • Identifies at-risk activities and heads-off schedule delays
  • Facilitates various project meetings as required
  • Acts as escalation point for project issues, risks and change requests
  • Manages and resolves any project issues
  • Communicates project status, issues and risks to leadership
  • Works well with personnel from all areas of the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in project and/or construction management in electric utility construction
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience for Intermediate Level
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience for Senior Level
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred
  • Familiarity with creating a project schedule
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
