About the role
- Provide daily financial support to the manufacturing department managers.
- Identify risks & opportunities and communicate to responsible individuals.
- Act as a business advisor to the APU’s on financial matters related to cost and capex.
- Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis of costs and variances.
- Analyze monthly variances between actual, budget and forecast.
- Perform weekly and monthly analysis on annual maintenance spending.
- Report and challenge daily requisitions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Communicate with operations to generate a monthly forecast.
- Help prepare the annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that monthly financial closing tasks are in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Complete assigned account reconciliations to support the financials.
- Ensure assigned tasks are in compliance with all internal control procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA), preferred
- 10 + years if manufacturing accounting and standard cost experience helpful
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Familiarity with SOX and internal controls
- Ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
