About the role

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for SCINet program support activities
  • Manage configuration control and documentation for meetings, decisions, and initiatives
  • Maintain the SCINet Operations Kanban Board
  • Develop, track, and maintain a Risk Management Program
  • Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive Change Management System
  • Maintain and update the Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RACI)
  • Track and validate SCINet hardware inventory
  • Monitor and manage the scinet@usda.gov inbox, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Coordinate with SCINet leadership, network engineers, HPC administrators, and stakeholders
  • Plan, monitor, and close initiatives supporting SCINet operations and expansion
  • Provide weekly activity reports and support required program deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with USDA policies, security requirements, and response SLAs

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of IT program or project management experience
  • Experience supporting scientific computing, research, or HPC environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination
  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a distributed environment
