About the role

  • Analyze mission-focused requirements and translate complex business needs into actionable insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements and develop user stories
  • Conduct data analysis and risk assessments to support defense strategies and operational efficiency
  • Develop detailed documentation including process flows, business case studies, compliance reports, SLAs, Software Design documents, and SOPs
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive mission-focused solutions and capability enhancements
  • Work closely with technical teams within an Agile/DevSecOps framework to implement secure system improvements that meet client cybersecurity standards
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, providing actionable reports to leadership and government officials
  • Create and translate requirements into Jira tickets and support testing strategies for application releases and enhancements
  • Support validation testing of data processing and secure data transfer between systems

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field (advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within a DoD or government contracting environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies in federal or defense settings
  • Experience with Jira and creating detailed tickets for developers
  • Experience in software testing, both manual and automated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • DOD/Government IT systems experience preferred
